Morning Rain

Verse:
Eyes closed open windows
Time is standing still
Mumbling in the echoes
Why is the wind so loud?

Pre-Chorus:
Spiders crawling up my back
So many thoughts I could unpack
Another day a new attack
Wonder if I’ll fall apart

Turning pages in my bed
Too many clouds around my head
How’d the sun turn into morning rain?

Chorus:
Breathe in
Feel the weight of droplets on your cold skin
The way the sound is pulling on your heartstrings
Maybe there’s a reason for the way life takes me

Verse:
New day new beginnings
Full of twists and turns
Something strange unfolding
Always room to learn

Chorus:
Breathe in
Feel the weight of droplets on your cold skin
The way the sound is pulling on your heartstrings
Maybe there’s a reason for the way life takes me

The Story Behind the Lyrics

Written on an anxious morning during the final day of a songwriting camp, after reading Psalm 96 and feeling called to “sing a new song,” the piece explores how beauty can appear in unexpected places, even in seasons marked by grief, mourning or disappointment.

Dive in Your Love

Verse 1:
Like a deer longs for running streams
Your word revives the dust in me
Springs appear and I don't know how
But I'm covered in your presence now

Chorus:
I could dive in your love
You could show me what it feels like to be yours
I would die in your arms
You could show me what it feels like to be yours

Verse 2:
I'm here like a grain of sand
Resting in the palm of your hand
With you I let go of my pride
With you there's nothing to hide

Chorus:
I could dive in your love
You could show me what it feels like to be yours
I would die in your arms
You could show me what it feels like to be yours

The Story Behind the Lyrics

Inspired by Psalm 42, “As a deer longs for running streams..” Søren Kierkegaard compared faith to swimming—you can practice the movements forever, but at some point you have to enter the water.

Hidden Springs

Verse:
If the river's running
Or the clouds are covering the sun
And the wind is humming
(It don’t matter)
If the flowers blooming
Or the leaves are falling to the ground
Trees are freezing
(It don’t matter)

Pre-Chorus:
If you start looking the past the rugged covers of the books
You will find that it is better than it looks

Chorus:
Dance your way through it
Let your smile guide you into
the hidden springs
Laugh your way through it
Let your light show the way to
The hidden springs of love

Verse :
If the water shimmers
Or is sending shivers down the spine
You should jump in
(It don’t matter)
If it’s raining sideways
Or the sweat is dripping off your face
Let’s embrace it

Pre Chorus:
If you start looking the past of the rugged covers of the books
You will find that it is better than it looks

Chorus:
Dance your way through it
Let your smile guide you into
The hidden springs
Laugh your way through it
Let your light show the way
to the hidden springs
of love

The Story Behind the Lyrics

Hidden Springs came together at Nordic Songcamping in Kristiansand. The song was born out of a sense of gratitude and a Kierkegaard quote: “As the quiet lake is fed deep down by the flow of hidden springs, which no eye sees, so a human being’s love is grounded, still more deeply, in God’s love”. It’s about choosing joy and finding what really matters and letting go of the rest. I wanted to capture the feeling of renewal, like sunlight breaking through clouds.

Still the Waves

Chorus 1:
Still the waves of my heart, oh Lord
Still the waves of my soul
Still the waves of my heart, oh Lord
Still the waves of my soul

Verse 1:
Sitting on the floor of the sea
Sorrowing
Hoping for a love
That delivers me
Sitting on the floor of the sea
Sorrowing
Hoping for a love
That can never be
Will it ever be?

Verse 2:
Falling in and out of reverie
Whispering
Sighs and secrets hidden in the reeds
Innocence
Staring in the еyes of a thief
Faithfully
Following a light deep beneath…
The waves

Chorus 2:
Still the waves of my heart, oh Lord
Let the divine work in me
Still the waves, calm the storm, oh God
Let me rest in your peace

Bridge/Outro:
I can swim in existence
But for this mystical soaring
I’m too heavy
I can swim in existence
But for this mystical soaring
I’m too heavy

The Story Behind the Lyrics

Still the Waves is inspired by Søren Kierkegaard’s Fear and Trembling and the Danish folk ballad Agnete and the Merman — a haunting tale about what it’s like to be torn between two worlds.
